Fathers Day!

With Fathers day coming up, of coarse it reminds me of the 2 most amazing men I've ever known in my life. They were and still are the best examples I could ask for.

My Father passed away 2 1/2 years ago from stomach cancer, and It was definately a challenge watching one of the strongest men ever, suffer like he did. (If you don't know my dad, a typical saturday when I was growing up began at about 5am, reading scriptures for 30-40 mins, going for a run, only about 20-30 miles or for a bike ride, 60-80 miles, or a hike up a mountain side, then coming back and working all day, till 9:30-10:00pm)

His passions were marathons, cycling, and mountain climbing. He summitted almost every mountain in the northwest, mexico, and switzerland. Of coarse his dream was everest, but unfortunately it never happend.

My father was nothing but kind, loving, an amazing peace maker, hardworking, and incredibly spiritual. He NEVER failed to attend his meetings, the temple, or read his scriptures and communicate regularly with his Heavenly Father.

So as you can see, he is definatly my hero.

I have alot of his qualities, including his stubborness. My favorite things are of coarse Running, cycling, and Mt. Climbing.

I miss him with all my heart, and wish he were here for me once again to tell him how much I love and appreciated him as my father, for his amazing example to me, and all he did for everyone of us.

As for my hubby, he literally is the best man I could have asked for, he is more like my dad than he will ever know and once told me, he loved and admired my dad like no other.

He is such a great example to me everyday, his unconditional love, gentleness, forgiving heart, and understanding, he has amazing passion and love for life, and I am so greatful to have him as my husband and father of our children, I couldn't ask for anyone better.


They always say, you end up marrying someone just like your dad.......and when I look at these pictures, all I can think is..."OH HOW I LOVE THAT MAN"!
